Meet Kari Green, MSN, PMHNP, FNP

As a dual-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Kari is keen on treating the whole person: mind, body, and spirit. She utilizes a holistic and individualized approach to help people experience wellness, and has full prescriptive authority to prescribe conventional Western medications.

Kari is also a Certified Integrative Psychiatric Provider (CIPP) and is well-versed in offering food, body movements, supplements, nutraceuticals, etc. as options in a treatment plan. She is skilled and enthusiastic at testing for underlying causes of physical and mental health symptoms. Kari treats thyroid disorders, metabolic dysfunction, and hormone imbalances (including HRT for peri- and post-menopausal women). She also prescribes compounded GLP-1s for weight loss and other indications when used with lifestyle modifications.

Kari also utilizes Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) to treat autoimmune disorders, chronic pain, and inflammation. She treats sleep disorders, sexual dysfunction, and other symptoms that can affect quality of life. Kari is also dedicated to harm reduction for substance use disorders and utilizes Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) when appropriate. She also supports benzodiazepine tapers when medically safe to do in an outpatient setting.

Kari is an ally of the LGBTQ+ community and is inclusive and compassionate in her therapeutic approach.

She typically works with people aged 15–60, and especially enjoys working with college students and people who are newly parents. Kari also enjoys collaborating with individual therapists when appropriate. She offers and prefers telehealth appointments, where clients can have virtual appointments from the comfort of their own home. In some instances, in-person appointments in Kari’s Northglenn, Colorado office may be required.
