Bio

Elizabeth “Liz” Selander is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who focuses on using a patient-centered collaborative and comprehensive approach when treating patients and supporting families. Over the past 20 years, she has dedicated her career to mental health and wellness. Educated through Pepperdine University, Regis University and Purdue University programs, Elizabeth comes with a vast educational and experiential background. Elizabeth spent over a decade at Children’s Hospital Colorado, working in mental health both inpatient and throughout the community. Her time in schools, in crisis inpatient units, and as a mental health advocate for Colorado legislation have prepared her as an excellent outpatient provider.

This is not only a career for her, but her passion, purpose and calling. Elizabeth seeks to combine lifestyle adjustments, brief psychotherapy and medication management to improve quality of life as well as thorough genetic testing and specific screenings to help each patient achieve optimal results. Pediatric, adult and elderly concerns such as suicidal thoughts, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, addiction, emotional disturbances, trauma, bipolar disorder, behavioral issues, sleep problems, troubled thought patterns, difficult life transitions, and attention issues are areas that she has a depth of experience in. Individualized, holistic care that meets the patient where they are and gets them to where they want to be are fundamental to Elizabeth’s philosophy.

In her personal time, Elizabeth is devoted to her 5 core values: Faith, Family, Fitness, Finances and Fun. She can be found hanging with her family, practicing her spirituality, incorporating physical movement, budgeting to spend, save, give, and investing in deep, meaningful fun with authentic friendships throughout her community.
