BioLeAnn Shaw

LeAnn R. Shaw, MA, LMFT is a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist who has been in practice since 2006. She obtained her degree from Southern Nazarene University in Tulsa, OK.

LeAnn has worked outpatient, home-based therapy, and worked on a mobile crisis unit called COPES for four years that is nationally recognized as cutting edge therapy intervention services. She has spent over 10 years doing crisis work where she would work with first responders to help de-escalate people facing mental health emergencies and help them create a stabilization plan or hospitalization as needed.

LeAnn is certified in Crisis Debriefing (CISM) and is the Clinical Supervisor for the Peer Support Team at Durango Fire Department. She is certified in QPR which is a nationally certified suicide prevention program for youth and adults. She is also certified in EMDR and CBT therapy practices. She has worked for the past five years at a Pediatric Clinic as an Integrated Behavioral Consultant. She has expanded training in Child Development and Neuro-Divergent Children & teens. LeAnn is certified to perform Screening Tool for Autism (STAT) for toddlers and has worked closely with Children’s Hospital Colorado Child Developmental Unit.

She has worked with population-based groups including being the administrator of the Autism Medical Home serving over 100 children in SW Colorado. LeAnn has also worked with eating disordered females. She is also able to work with clients from a Christian perspective if requested.

LeAnn is always expanding her skill set and is currently expanding into ADHD coaching for children and adults. LeAnn enjoys working with people of all ages including children ages 4 and up, adolescents, adults, couples, and families.
